“The ‘STUPIDEST’ thing I’ve ever done”

Had looked forward to this particular trip in 2008.
I’m not much of a traveller; Infact I won’t qualify for a ‘free’ frequent flyer bonus on any airline.

Ok, I found myself in the much talked about city of Dubai.
Alone but not lonely cos I ran into this heavenly made extremely beautiful Nigerian babe.
(She initially thought I was Kenyan. That’s what they thought I was too at La Bardi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana when I visited).

We were all over the city together and I was leaving 5 days before she did.
Damn.

While doing the boat ride, I had run into a guy and his girlfy. Both Portuguese.  I love Christiano Ronaldo I told them excitedly.

The city bus tour was quite revealing and exciting too. I was the only blackman on the bus.
The shopping at the malls.

The free desert visit after a pickup from my hotel and where I did quad biking, camel riding and sand dune crazy jeep ride.
Yeeeeee, I almost forgot I did the bellie dance too – All that over. Yeah, I was selected by the dancer.

Wow.

Dubai was not just wonderful but awesome.
Then, then, then.

My newfound friend asked for a ‘favor’.

Till I got to Lagos I didn’t realise the implication of what I did – I brought in 2 mini sized suitcases for her to Lagos without knowing the contents.
Things women make us do.

Ooooooooops – (What if ?)

Phew – That was close !

well your good health seems to be a bi-product of your fun time.
Hmm seems that’s the reason why everyone ask to be happy. at least it may reduce a few pounds from you. you know I have also developed a balloon belly. for why I am so lazy to work out or even take a walk.

    1. . . . I jeest trusted.
      My hunch is always right.

      ALWAYS.

I’ve had situations whereby seemingly nice people are no matter what not allowed beyond certain spaces in my relationship with them.
Always turns out I’m right in my decisions to stay aloof.

      ALWAYS.

      Winks.

You know her better than I do, and only you can judge the situation, Im deffinetly sure you are able to deal with such a situation , my doubt comes … knowing how harder it is the more beatyful she is, women can be a blessing and a curse at times … its judging the situation thats difficult, whatever I say … I know you know what I am trying to say! … I hope? Have a pleasant day my friend. In God I trust … a beatyful woman? There I have my doubts! Only natural I think? 😉

  3. Wowser you could have been living it up at the Dubai Hilton prison or the one in Lagos. Could have been doing a long time or worse my friend. Women are wonderful things with beguiling charms that entice and bewitch. I am just glad we can all laugh about it now. Tread carefully my friend it is better having you here spreading your light than you being locked up.

It better be 8 years ago. Costly mistakes are costly. It’s cool to check and double check.
You enjoyed yourself, so may you go there again and again and may you not encounter beautiful strangers that’d put you in trouble. Haha

    1. Stranger than fiction abi ?
I got away with other things I was ignorant about too.
Learnt later that unmarried or opposite sexes don’t mingle like that openly in the city.
Knew that when I came back to 9ja. To think I almost hugged her in the ooen glare of policemen.
Very important one knows the dos and don’ts of where you’re travelling.
      Very important.

Yeah, definitely stranger than fiction. Most people would have that light come on in their heads when someone out of the green sends them on that kind of errand.

        Extremely important.

      2. . . . I had a friend over at my place yesterday and we were gisting about particular issues. He was awed that I get away with so many things that ordinarily would’ve gotten mere mortals into a hole.

We both agreed I’ve got some unseen hands protecting me.

        So I’m cool like that.

        Kikikikikikikikiiiii.

In the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit.
        Amen.

        Hahaha.
Even heard the statement “Heaven helps those who help themselves”? It’s way better to be safe than sorry.
And you most definitely have some “unseen hands ” doing their job. Haha.
        Just be careful friend.
